Safety and care advice

  • Always fully uncoil leads before use to prevent overheating.
  • Never daisy-chain extension leads.
  • Although the extension leads are rated for 13A, avoid exceeding 10A for extended periods to reduce overheating risks from voltage drop or heat build-up.
  • The inline RCD (safety device) must be manually reset after power loss.
  • Always follow manufacturer guidelines for all connected appliances. Compatibility and risk assessment are the user’s responsibility.
  • We are not liable for damage from improper use.

Prioritise safety: If unsure, consult a qualified electrician.

FAQs

How does the RCD protection device work?

The inline RCD devices are active units, which means that the reset button must be pressed each time the power is reconnected, ensuring proper functionality.

Is it safe to plug an extension lead into another extension lead?

Daisy chaining is not advisable. While a low-power setup might be considered OK, each additional connection increases the risk of overload, extra failure points and overheating, potentially leading to a fire hazard. It is safer to use a single, appropriately rated longer extension lead
