Three-phase (3-phase) electricity supply, capable of delivering power from 11kW up to 22kW, is more common in commercial properties and some newer or upgraded residential installations.

If you have the option, a three-phase cable is generally the better choice, as it supports both standard single-phase and faster three-phase charging, which is common at many public chargepoints.
